Position Summary: Cutting Technicians are an integral part of the team, cutting fabric needed for production by utilizing job orders and certain cut patterns.
Essential Functions
- Works a part of a small team, laying out fabric to be cut based on a written job order.
- Communicates with other team members on fabric needed for job order to be brought to the cutting table in advance via a handheld radio.
- Read written router for work details for specifics on the cut pattern needed
- Operate CNC cutting machine to cut specific patterns
- Keeps track of fabric used, scrapped, and issues the correct amount in ERP system.
- Record keeping of all fabric cut
- Changing knife, drill or other minor maintenance needs to machine
- Compares fabric number to router and double checks on correct pattern to lay-out length ensuring no wrinkles or defects are in the fabric.
- Maintains production schedule to meet daily or hourly goals for established quantities
- Provides feedback to supervisor on process improvements to safety, quality and/or production efficiency
- Examines and relays knowledge on similarities from one product to the next
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

- Manufacturing process knowledge a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Dedication to learning and perfecting a skill
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must work in a cooperative manner with Supervisors, co-workers, and customers.
Experience
- 1-year production factory work a plus, but not required.
